Parish "Dreams"

In Autumn 2004, the parish undertook to pursue its "Dreams" again. All parishioners were asked to write their thoughts and wishes for the parish. These were collected and categorized, and, over a period of weeks, the whole parish voted to select the top ten.

Three main goals—Dreams—were derived through a discernment process, completed at a Parish Assembly Day in January 2005.

As we begin the year 2006, we will continue formulating methods, approaches and actions to accomplish these goals over five years. All are asked to dedicate energy and prayer for parish-wide support, participation, and accomplishment.

It would be marvelous and a great blessing for Saint Anthony of Padua Parish when ...

  • We will establish outreach to the elderly ill and homebound by providing practical assistance
  • We will develop a plan to motivate teenagers to participate in Mass
  • We will establish a Catholic Cultural Center with a library, a teen center, ongoing Catholic education and a theater
