Computer Technology Center (CTC) Ministry
Our Mission
The mission of the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Computer Technology Center Ministry is to introduce community members to the personal computer and its many applications, and to enhance the knowledge of those who are already familiar with the personal computer. This will provide the community members with highly marketable technical skills which will allow them to increase and improve their own well-being and that of their family, the parish and the community.
The Program
The Program consists of two parts: computerized business system applications and professional development. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access are among the business systems application software of Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise that will be covered in this program. The Internet and email will also be covered.
The teachers and staff members of the Center are all volunteers from the community.
Class Schedule
Classes meet twice a week on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. They run from September to May or June (depending on school closure days). The classes are giving on the 3rd floor of Corpus Christi School, 3301 Glen Carlyn Road, Falls Church, VA 22041.
A fee of $50.00, plus the cost of the textbook (unknown at this time, probably about $65.00) will be assessed each student. Each registration form must be submitted with a $20.00 non-refundable fee. This will be counted towards the $50.00. Please, return the Registration form, with the $20.00, to St. Anthony of Padua parish office or mail it to:

Nuestra Misión
La Misión del Centro Tecnológico de Computación de San Antonio de Padua es enseñar a los que no tienen ninguna experiencia o profundizar el conocimiento de los que ya tienen familiaridad con las computadoras. Estas clases son para que los estudiantes tengan destreza técnica, les ayude en el trabajo que ya tienen o les sirva para conseguir uno mejor.
El Programa
El programa consiste de dos partes: el primero es el sistema computarizado de negocios y el otro de desarrollo professional. Alguno de los programas que se desarrollarán son Microsoft Office 2007, Word, Excel, PowerPoint y Access. La segunda parte consiste en el uso de la internet y dirección electrónica (emails).
Todos los profesores y asistentes son voluntarios.
Horario de Clases
Las clases son dos veces a la semana, lunes y miércoles o martes y jueves de 6:30 a 8:30 p.m. desde septiembre hasta mayo o junio (depende de cuantas clases se suspendieron por causa del mal tiempo) Las clases se imparten en el tercer piso del Colegio Corpus Christi, ubicado en la 3301 Glen Carlyn Road, Falls Church, VA 22041.
El costo del curso es de $50 dólares más lo que cueste el libro (en este momento no sabemos todavía pero probablemente sean $ 65 dólares). Con la inscripción deben dejar un depósito de $20 dólares, parte de los $50 dólares que cuesta el curso. Se pueden inscribir en la oficina parroquial o enviar su inscripción a:
