Ministerio Encuentro Católico

Se inicia a partir de Diciembre del 2005 como un equipo de trabajo y en Marzo del 2006 se convierte en un “Ministerio.”

Su misión es manifestar el amor de Dios a través del servicio a los demás por medio de las obras de caridad y la evangelización con eventos masivos, para  de esta manera ser solidarios con los más necesitados.

Su deseo es atraer a los jóvenes a la iglesia, para que participen mas en ella y al mismo tiempo fomentarles la vocación sacerdotal o de laico comprometido.

Para realizar esta misión ellos utilizan medios masivos como los eventos ya realizados: I y II Encuentros Católicos en el DC Armory en Washington, D.C.

Próximo a celebrarse, lo tenemos ya a las puertas, es el III Encuentro Católico los días 10 y 11 de Marzo, 2007. El objetivo de este evento es una evangelización que utilizará un nuevo método de evangelización, la nueva tecnología del mundo para la gloria de Dios, y así recuperar el espíritu misionero.

Estos Encuentros son auspiciados por nuestra parroquia, San Antonio de Padua, y la bendición de nuestros sacerdotes.

Como fruto espiritual de estos Encuentros ellos ya realizaron dos viajes misioneros uno a El Salvador en el 2005 y otro a Panamá en el 2006.

Catholic Encounter Ministry

It begins as of December of 2005 as a working team and in March of 2006 becomes a “Ministry.”

Its mission is to show the love of God through service to others by means of charity works and evangelization with massive events and with solidarity help those in need.

Its desire is to attract the young people to the church, so that they participate more in it and at the same time to foment in them the sacerdotal vocation or of lay volunteers.

In order to accomplish this mission they use massive means like the events already made: I and II Catholic Encounter in the DC Armory in Washington, D.C. Next to be celebrated, we already have it to the doors, is the III Catholic Encounter days 10 and 11 of March, 2007. The objective of this event is an evangelization that will use a new method of evangelization, the new technology of the world for the glory of God, and thus to recover the missionary spirit.

These Encounters are supported by our parish, St. Anthony of Padua and the blessing of our priests.
