Founded in 2007, Jesus My Friend was born from the faith and dedication of a group of Filipino Americans who desired to live out the deeply important Filipino values of family and community.
Our ministry gathers every Sunday from 1:45 PM – 4:00 PM for prayer, fellowship, and worship. Afterward, members have the option to participate in the parish choir for the 5:30 PM Mass (with rehearsal beginning at 4:30 PM).
At the heart of our meetings is a rhythm of fraternal prayer:
- Adoration of God in praise and reverence
- Contrition in communal repentance
- Thanksgiving in gratitude and rejoicing
- Supplication for our families, community, and world
We are inspired by the Filipino spirit of bayanihan — coming together in unity, prayer, and mutual support. In this spirit, our community becomes a true family of faith, living as kapamilya in Christ.
Our guiding words are those of Jesus Himself:
“I no longer call you servants… Instead, I have called you friends.” (John 15:15)
In Christ, we discover not only our Savior and Lord, but also our truest Friend, who invites us to walk together in faith and love.
All are welcome to join us — malugod kayong inaanyayahan! (you are warmly invited). While many members are Filipino, our ministry is open to all who desire friendship in Christ and community in prayer.
